My advise is to look up and order from the correct location. The cashier was awesome and allowed me to order from him... I truly appreciate this. This is a sweet little neighborhood spot. Great atmosphere and unpretentious. Just great food served by great people. JB's has an expansive menu with lots of classic deli/diner options, as well as some fantastic plates with a Mediterranean influence. A friend who lives in the neighborhood turned me onto this place, and let me just say that the veggie gyro platter will keep me coming back for years to come. Owners and staff are very friendly and seem to have great relationships with their regulars. Look no further for your next Portrero lunch!
I've been dining at this place for at least 15 years, and it consistently earns a solid 5 stars. Expect a line during peak hours, so it's best to call ahead. As for parking, there's ample street parking available. You can usually find a spot within a block or two or just wait a minute for a space right in front. Either way, it's worth it!
