In Florida for Memorial Day weekend and celebrating my friends birthday, his brother evidently tried this place last year and really liked it. Decided to swing by with them and was not disappointed. Ox tails were really good and you got a lot, which made up for the fact that they really did not have a lot of meat on them. I appreciate who I believe was the owners son for hooking me up with the order of plantains that I ordered, but wasn't charged for, but also wasn't initially given. I wish I lived closer so I could indulge in my monthly craving for Jamaican food from this restaurant every time. We chose it for our book club gathering, and I'm so glad we did. My mom and I ordered jerk chicken and oxtail meals, along with five spicy beef patties for our fellow book club members. There are six of us in total, including my daughter, and the large portions were more than enough to feed everyone, with some leftovers to spare. The food was bursting with flavor, just as the name suggests. They certainly delivered on the deliciousness. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area to support this wonderful place again. I waited over 40 minutes for jerk chicken that turned out to be cold. The restaurant was not clean, and the staff seemed to have no sense of urgency. When I requested a refund, the person I spoke with refused and kept saying she was short-staffed, but I could hear the staff in the back joking around. This is not an ideal place for families. Additionally, with all the construction in the neighborhood, getting there is quite difficult.
Found a great Jamaican restaurant today. Mike had Stewed chicken, red beans and rice, and braised cabbage. Me? Curry chicken with same sides but washed down with cream soda instead of water. As it was our first of many future visits we shared our delicious meals. Oh, server recommended Scotch Bonnet hot sauce over the other 2 sauces on offer. We agree. This place is AMAZING! The best food ever! We got chicken curry, jerk chicken, cabbage, fried plantain and peas and rice. The food was seasoned very well The man at the counter was nice and helpful. If you are in Florida and don't come eat here you missed out. They were working on the road when we visited so we had to drive around the block to get to them but absolutely worth it.
Delicious! Very nice people and service. Food taste like yard food (if you know you know). Miami style portion sizes. Finally spicy Jamaican patties that actually had spice. Tried the jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, Jamaican Pattie and coco bread. Did not disappoint! We started eating before I could take a pic
Food was delicious. My younger brother and I came here and we were blown away. I got the curry chicken and my brother got oxtail. It was fire, 10/10. Service was excellent also. Very welcoming. Great restaurant. Would highly recommend. #YardFood Réservez une table maintenant
