Jersey Mikes Subs inside Camp Pendleton Bases is the perfect spot for a quick bite while on base! First and foremost, this establishment has moved from its old location in the base to a new one. Previously, it was located nearby the gas station, nowit is located inside the same building as the MCX. With that said, the store is exactly how you would expect. You enter, youorder, you see your sub (or food being made), then you leave. Due to COVID, there is not dine-in capabilities but there areplenty of outdoor dining area just outside the MCX. Completely unprofessional experience at Jersey Mike's Subs. Lexie and Jessica were very rude and had awful attitudes. Although they wore gloves as expected for food handling during COVID-19, they repeatedly touched their faces and surfaces that customers use without changing gloves. When I politely asked them to change their gloves before preparing my food, they responded with annoyed comments like, "Oh great, now we’re wasting food." It’s unacceptable to blame the customer for a staff member’s mistake. I was so put off by their behavior that I didn’t even place an order. I love Jersey Mike’s and their subs, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back to this location on Camp Pendleton.
The food at Jersey Mike's Subs was fantastic, but the customer service left much to be desired. We arrived in uniform and, after placing our order, were told to wait outside. Meanwhile, several civilians who ordered after us were allowed to stay inside the store while waiting for their food. As a service member, I felt disrespected, especially considering this is on a military base.
Businesses should find a way to display accurate live hours on their apps. It showed as open but was closed early for Mother's Day. I understand the reason, but they need to update early closures so customers don’t waste time and gas.
