"The atmosphere in the back dining room is nice. Kind of like a tent on an oasis might feel like. The Turkish wine was terrible. The waitress was flaky. Service was incompetent. They charged about $47 for service. There were five of us. Unless you're really having a jones for Levantine food, I'd pass. Prices run up fast if you order much. Baklava was very good."

location was located directly in the city asheville, near the park pritchard with many possibilities close to, a few parking nearby either parking on the road with meters or paid parking. large aesthetic with Mediterranean/center east wall designs towards the back of the restaurant. this area seems more for private art events, but they can go with the toilets. chandelier and contains cushions for the chairs. they had some tables outside. the restaurant was also clean. google shows what I thought was right. most of the escapes were high teenagers up to 20s, I think. the gyros were 11-13 we got at the end. we got the kafka (which I never had before, the mix of meat in meatball and lamb gyro wa...

There's a lot of restaurants in Asheville but if you don't make reservations, it may be difficult to get in. Fortunately four of us were able t get into the Jerusalem Garden Café at a decent hour for dinner. In fact, it wasn't filled with diners, maybe 4-5 other couples. What we ordered: Hummus appetizer with pita bread; two Jordanian chicken dishes; two lamb shawarmas; wine and water. My Jordanian chicken was a little tough but had good flavors. The hummus was creamy and flavorful; the lamb shawarma was the hit of the night. Each meal came with rice, pita, and a tahini salad. The Lobetia organic cabernet wasn't good at all. We weren't sure if it was old or just a poor quality brand of wine....

Two of us had dinner here last night, and we’re so glad we did. We really love the menu options, particularly the lamb shank special. We had the falafel, which was a tiny bit crispy and overcooked. The hummus, excellent, with lots of pita. Wine was a very generous poor. Service was excellent. Not crazy about dining in the back of the restaurant where it was a little dark and tent like, but we really like this restaurant and would definitely return.

Jerusalem Cafe is a great date-night spot. We split the bacon-wrapped dates, falafel, kafta bowl, and baklava. The dates and falafel were some of the best we've ever had we totally recommend them. The Moroccan tea was also a highlight. We also really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Our waitress made sure to ask which items we wanted as appetizers or entrees, and was very kind and friendly. We will be returning for our next night out soon!
