Book a table or risk being disappointed! This place in the heart of old Eckernforde is tiny and was absolutely packed when we got there at 7:30pm. Our table was waiting with its reserved sign, thank goodness! Try this very popular place for its great, buzzy atmosphere. It's a pub, really, with a limited menu. Though in a fishing port, it isn't a fish restaurant. There was just one type of fish (chilled herring). Also no white meat options. Nevertheless, the food tasted delicious - steaks perfectly cooked. This is our second visit here and I'm still at a loss for words to describe this place.. The staff is awesome and the food is almost too good! The atmosphere is warm and nice, they make you feel like family as soon as you...walk in that door! Pro tip: order kleine steak trust me!
