We recently noticed Joe has been temporarily moved to the Melrose Park location, and his absence in River Forest has been very noticeable. We sincerely hope he doesn't get sent away again; Joe Hercog is truly the heart of the River Forest Jewel-Osco...
On my latest visit, I encountered further unprofessionalism from the customer service manager, who had some inappropriate comments when I asked for assistance. I decided enough was enough and planned to reach out for support. Even the person at the checkout counter showed me more respect than the manager, who appeared to be inebriated and refused to let me pay for my groceries, claiming I hadn't already. This left me humiliated in front of other customers.
I can’t help but feel that this treatment is personal, especially since I spend my own hard-earned money there. The unprofessionalism of the staff is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I will be contacting the corporate office first...
Been going to same Jewel for about 40 year's. I went shopping the other day at the Jewel store on the 3400 block of Western in Chicago. I am disabled and only go to the deli when there is no line. I was left standing at the counter for between 5 10 minutes and nobody served me. I then asked is anybody working here? After all that time I was told to ask better. I said better she didn't move so I was refused service. I am now talking with a lawyer because you cannot refuse services. I was deeply disappointed and had to go to another store to get my shopping done.
I love Jewel but I'm really sick and tired of them ALLOWING dogs into the store and ppl seat them inside the grocery cart. The same grocery cart you place your food in then you take HOME in place in your fridge. These are not service dogs. Very, Very unsanitary. Please, Jewel do better!!! Please, corporate address this issue at all your Jewel stores because I have seen it at serveral stores over the past year, not only will you lose a loyal customer, it will get reported to other authorities.

I went into the store on Ela Road in Lake Zurich. I am an ex employee just so you know. I had issues with Judy the front end supervisor but now she is making it personal. If I come into the store and go shopping I do not believe she has the right to throw me out of the store?? I do not have a car I can't go to another store cuz it's convenient it's right across the street. Ever since she started running the front end back door is not fun to shop at any longer
I strongly advise against shopping at Jewels. The staff seems untrained and more focused on running around than assisting customers. I simply wanted to pick up a cake and a few balloons. Not only was the cake I ordered sold to someone else, but my balloons were also not ready for pickup. To make matters worse, when I contacted management, all they could say was, "I'm sorry," which was unsatisfactory.
REally?? Masks for employees again. What a joke. Covid is nothing different than the FLU and we don't mask for that. But go ahead and drive your employees away. Good thinking. Masks PROTECT NO ONE!! I received polite, relatively quick service when I called headquarters. I called headquarters because I wanted to compliment a couple employees at the Clarendon Hills (Holmes Ave) location. I've been a customer at the Osco pharmacy for many years.

Bought some jewel brand itialian sausage. They were so gross the only thing they're good for is to drop on the Russians in Ukraine they would drop more of the invaders than the new missile system the US is sending them.
