Called for pickup, order was not ready when i walked in they JUST started making it after i arrived and paid. And to note i was told a different price on the phone, then given another higher price at the counter... weird...Nothing special about the burritos, no flavor.The chips are over cooked and over salted its really disgusting. My guacamole was turning black already after i opened it and looked inside.Overall Below Average mediocre food quality.
The prices are really good. I love the taste of the carne asada. Tortillas have the perfect texture. The service is polite and fast. Bring cash, it is a cash only restaurant. Compared to other offerings in Spring Valley, Don Jilberto's is one of the best.Parking: Parking is available along Jamacha but it is a busy street. The shopping strip has limited parking spaces.
I haven’t been here in years so I decided to give it a chance. I was really disappointed with the food. I had carne asada mini tacos and the guacamole was already turning brown right after i got the food and they added pico (weird). The adobada had a weird taste to it as well. Overall not happy and spent a lot of money for subpar food, won’t be coming back.
Overall, this is a fantastic new establishment that has been gaining popularity recently. The food is incredible, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is vibrant and lively, in contrast to other places that can feel dull and uninspiring. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves Mexican cuisine! Réservez une table maintenant
I really dislike it when I order food and they still ask if I’m going to pick it up. It happens to me all the time! If I’ve placed an order, of course I'm going to show up. I can’t blame it on the low wages, though. Food: 4/5.
