Great food..great for kids too!. Hard to believe that right now this place had only 70% rec it. It absolutely deserves more than that!!! I am picky..and my husband is even more so. My kids well they are picky too. This place is wonderful! Tasty burgers, wonderful salads, enjoyable mac/cheese (which my kids were not fans of..but for adults ..yes) Fyi: the childrens meals are huge! They come with a mixed salad fries. One child is very unlikely to finish all it. Jimmy 's serve a wonderful chipotle sauce as their house ketchup..very good..great with their delicious fries. Their cocktails were wonderful. Setting is unique with harbor views at the back of the restaurant and a garage style interior...

I have a future mother-in-law who loves a frying south-style brunch. She recently introduced me to Jimmy's famous tavern. My first instinct was to stay away from fried chicken, but as they say, "if in Rome." Luckily I did not hesitate to order “The Bubba” which is her roasted chicken with apple wood smoked bacon, sunny side on egg, homemade cookies and sausage sword. That was a big decision. Her fried chicken is from this world. Perfectly crispy, light and fluffy, tender and juicy. In other words, it was perfection.

Joy of Jimmy's!. The Happy Hour menu is superb! The main menu includes a good variety of culinary choices. The location is excellent at the entrance to Dana Point Harbor and the atmosphere is warm with a modern yet inviting feel. The seating is comfortable and the bar is spacious and inviting!!! Super friendly staff great experience....
