Jmorgan's Steakhouse

What a fantastic steakhouse! We stumbled upon this hidden gem while out shopping. We were in search of something beyond the typical casual spots that populate the downtown area, and this place felt like stepping onto J.P. Morgan’s private train—elegant yet unpretentious. Our server was laid-back and extremely welcoming, expertly guiding us through the steak menu. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection. Unlike many servers, he explained the service charge without pressuring us for an extra tip, mentioning that it would be shared equally among the staff. This has become our favorite restaurant whenever we visit this town.

Wonderful atmosphere and great food! We enjoyed friendly service from all staff we encountered. It was very busy which understandably slowed service slightly. It was a little loud but it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it! Our food was hot and delicious and our server was very helpful with suggestions and menu questions. We look forward to visiting again soon on our next special night out!

Empty restaurant. Waited 10 minutes to be seated past our reservation time. Edited another 35 minutes for someone to come to our table and it was only for water. Waited another 15 minutes for someone, other than a waitress, to come and take our order. An hour and 20 minutes after arriving at the restaurant we received our food.

Easy access location, much larger than it looks. Food was excellent, a bit slower in service even though fully staffed but if you have time to sit and relax while enjoying your food, its not an issue. Must get Strawberry Whipped Cream cake for dessert...so good, in fact, I would go there just for that!! Réservez une table maintenant

We had a wonderful dining experience in our state capital, Montpelier! I'm also pleased to see that the kitchen staff is recognized for their hard work by sharing tips with the front-of-house team. This collaborative effort creates a positive atmosphere. Thank you!

The food and service were good. The protein was cooked perfectly, but unfortunately, it had a very bitter taste that needs to be addressed. Overall, I would recommend this place to friends and family.

It's become a tradition for us to celebrate our anniversary at J Morgan's! The steaks were fantastic, and we always indulge in their chocolate martinis!

I visited Silvester for the first time and can honestly say it was the best meal I've had in the central Vermont area. I highly recommend it! Réservez une table maintenant
