Food was OK, nothing special. Servers were nice enough at the register. We tried a variety of things. A bacon cheeseburger, chicken strips, Nashville chicken sliders, hot dog, fries, chili cheese fries, custard, and onion rings. The onion rings were good but the rest nothing to write home about. The outside looks like a hot dog franchise building, but when you walk in, you're greeted with counter service and hint of a larger dining area. The cashier we had was friendly and helpful. The parking is shared with other businesses and fairly plentiful. The dining area is themed and decorated with like maybe a diner country music vibe? So far this place is awesome not sure the history but it seems to be a Icon for many walking in. First off customer service is key here. Very friendly and prompt. Dann is great customer service very friendly something been missing from a lot of places. This place is a historical for a lot of Cypress locals. 3.5 I have mixed feelings about this place. Have frequented this place quite a bit lately. I have ordered several Friday meals recently (for me and family) and it's been OK. I think I ate too much of their junk food last night (husband got the onion rings and I had about 1/3 of them). The Sammy And rings did not agree with me so well (stomach ache last night as well as in the morn). I wish I had the same onion ring experience at reviewer BONNIE! That sounds awesome! So disappointed!!!! We come here all the time. The food is usually good and service is usually good. On this day, we asked for chili cheese fries, but asked that the put the chili on the side. I don't like soggy fries. They said they can't do that and would have to charge me two sides. Why... whatever you were going to put on the fries, put on a plate. I'll pay for the extra plate. They said no. Shocking. The food was below average. The fries tasted like they used old frying oil. You lost another customer loyal customer.
So I'll be honest, when they first opened, I gave them a kinda bad review. I didn't like their fries and got a bit of attitude when i was ordering. I am here to take that back. Big time. I don't know where to start. This is comfort food you've been looking for. The hot dogs and the frozen custard is all I've tried as its hard to get something else, even tho it all looks and sounds so good. Well played Joe's. I hope you guys stick around for a long time. No expectations, I had the best crunchy onion rings EVER at @schmoes_joe in CYPRESS, CA! Best part, it remained crunchy delicious even 2 hours later! The crunchy texture and sound is so satisfying. No ketchup is required and it is seasoned well! Even the onion inside was the right type of thickness. #joeschmoescypress just really knows how to create and fry up the most perfect tray of onion rings! Simple menu of burgers, sandwiches, and specialty hot dogs, but flavors and quality are superb! Excellent selection of brews on daughter, too. Finish off with a hand scooped and blended frozen custard, or concrete . Fabulous food, drink, dessert, andservice.

Love this place! Great food with enough choices for my picky eater, healthy eater and beer drinker! Sports on every TV so the boys are always happy to go to joe's! Staff are friendly and this restaurant is super clean!
Good counter and table service place with the only frozen custard I've found since Rita's in Anaheim and Redondo Beach closed down. Brick-walled dining room almost looks like a NYC place I used to frequent.
