A few weeks ago, I had a great dining experience at this restaurant with friends, so I decided to bring my family along for a visit, even though it was an hour's drive away. Unfortunately, our recent experience was far from what I had hoped for. Even though the restaurant was relatively empty, we ended up waiting much longer than during my previous visit. The crispy chicken, which I had loved before, was a letdown; it was neither crispy nor juicy and was quite dry, plus it was only half the size of what I remembered. The portion of the fresh steamed fish had also decreased compared to our last visit, and it arrived with uncleaned fish scales. Additionally, the hot pot tofu failed to impress,...
The food was delicious the service was outstanding. However’ the combo with the duck offered very little duck.The reason for the 3 star rating is after we ate and asked for the bill and we provided our credit card. We were then informed that it is a “cash” only restaurant. REALLY!! and then we were informed that the tip isn’t included LOL!!! Also we paid cash and no receipt was provided. They need to put a sign on the door or notify people upon entry that this is a cash only restaurant not after you eat and then they point to their convenient ATM! For this reason alone we will never go back!
Very disappointed with this place I really had high hopes. The food was over price and the food tastes nasty. I wish they told us that they don’t accept debit card. So we had to use the ATM that they conveniently have inside the restaurant. This place is a money scam. They make you pay cash using the ATM, if you pay your food the waiter tells you the tip is not included, so the tip is not optional anymore. They demand you to leave a tip, even though the service was not good, never coming here again, and if I could’ve gave a zero star, honestly I would.
We loved it here. Its been years for me, but it was even better than I remembered it! The duck is a slightly better bang for your buck, of course if you like what it also comes with. From other reviews, not sure why many people had bad experiences... i suppose they cant be perfect every time. Only weird thing was the fried rice and sizzling steak app (that comes with the duck combo) came out last..like a while later. Didn 't bother us. I've moved out of the area and came back to NJ recently for a visit. A friend suggested to check it out and this place is great. A lot of chinese dishes I've really missed as a kid are here.
