This is my second time visiting Joey's Peruvian Cuisine And Grill. My first visit was under the previous owner, but I returned after hearing he had passed away and the place was under new management. I have to say, the new team is even better. The food is delicious, and while prices have changed slightly, it’s not a big difference. The new owner is very friendly and goes out of his way to accommodate special requests, even if they're not on the menu. If you're craving something different or need a modification, he can make it happen. Best of all, they offer delivery!
One thing id be careful of here is the portion sizes, places like these usually give great portions of food. But, in this case, I felt ripped off by how much I paid for the amount of food I received. I got the Arroz Con Polo for $13.50. The food smeltgreat when I got home and could not wait to try it, I open it up and there was ONE piece of chicken in there. A tiny Chicken legwith rarely any meat with a pile of rice. $13.50 for a pile of rice and a tiny leg. Never coming back again.
In my previous visit, the Royal Combo rotisserie chicken was extremely dry. I called to express my concern, and they apologized and issued me store credit for a future visit. I returned today and ordered the same takeout, and I’m happy to say that the awesome chicken I remembered was back. I’ll consider my last experience an anomaly because this remains my favorite Peruvian chicken restaurant.
I passed by this restaurant on Union Ave in Totowa, and it's a small place that's easy to overlook. I really enjoy Peruvian cuisine, and I found the roasted chicken to be quite tasty, although the ribs were a bit lacking in flavor. The menu was appealing, so I plan to return and sample more dishes. The customer service was also quite good.

Food is always excellent! Been ordering here for years. The mashed potatoes are great, but last visit they were not as enjoyable as usual. I'm a bit disappointed how loose and soupy they were.
Joey's Peruvian Cuisine And Grill offers absolutely delicious food. I've made it a point to dine there for years, and I'm thrilled that their menu is now available through DoorDash.
The food was good as was the service. I really enjoyed the aguadito soup and the seco de carne. My wife had the saltado de pescado and she loved it.
I ordered the Chaufa Mixto and it was so flavorful. The portion was for 2 people. Loved it . Definitely coming back
