This rib restaurant is outstanding and has been a beloved fixture in the DMV area for over sixty years. I highly recommend it—there's no pretentiousness here, just exceptionally tasty ribs. While it's a carry-out only establishment with no dining area, the quality of the food far exceeds the price. The neighborhood might seem a bit intimidating, but it's absolutely worth the visit to try the ribs. If you do decide to give it a shot, I promise you’ll want to return time and time again!
On December 21, 2023, around 2:30 PM, I visited The RIB. The ribs were well-cooked on the outside but unfortunately not cooked enough on the inside, as there was still some pink. I ended up having to put my slab in the oven to finish cooking it. Once fully cooked, they were quite good. I suggest grilling them a little less on the outside and cooking them longer to ensure the inside is properly done. Additionally, the coleslaw I had was quite watery.
Absolutely the best ribs in the city! Washington, D.C. has some of the worst barbecue options, but Johnny Boy's is the perfect solution for your BBQ cravings. The ribs are phenomenal, and the sauce is so delicious you could practically make a sandwich with just the sauce. If I could give them unlimited stars, I absolutely would!
Delicious as always. We bought a slab of ribs with the hot sauce on the side and one of their boxes meals with 2 ribs, 2 fried fish and 2 chicken wings. The wings didnt have as much seasoning as I thought so I added some old bay when we got home. Would still buy again though! Réservez une table maintenant
As I was driving north, I came across a small roadside shack called Johnny Boy Ribs that was promoting barbecue. I decided to stop and ordered a sliced pork sandwich, despite my worries about not feeling very hungry.
I 'm still in a food coma. I ordered a slab of ribs and 10 fried wings. All I can say is I 'll make that drive across the bridge for Johnny Boy 's!!! The food and service was great!
Small place with very little parking. Although the service is great and the food even better. 5 Star ribs.
