I traveled from Hampton, Virginia to find this restaurant using Google and it was well worth the trip. The food here is absolutely fantastic - it's clear that it's made with love. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The service was top-notch, making us feel right at home. In addition, they played 90's R&B music which added to the enjoyable atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future!
The food reminds me of home! I ordered the catfish with a side of okra and collards w/ cabbage. It was perfect. The flavor was amazing and it was perfectly crispy. I will 100% be back and I will recommend this restraunt to everyone! I was feeling hungry and had some extra time before my flight out of Dulles airport. I decided to do a quick Google search and stumbled upon Johnny Ray's. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the wings and collard greens were. They were simply scrumptious! I am now a fan and will definitely be returning to Johnny Ray's whenever I am in the Dulles area.
Located in a hidden corner, this small restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. Service was prompt and attentive. Perfect spot for a nice dinner. Prices were reasonable, around $10-20 per person. Highly recommend trying the Mac and Cheese and the Catfish with Cornbread. I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The ribs were outstanding and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Fantastic southern style food! The place was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly (johnny ray himself came to our table to ask how the food was! . The place really has a soul to it, good vibes all around. Highly recommend!
