Thinking ahead to Mothers ' Day, and how to make it special in Lockdown, I chanced upon the 'takeaway afternoon tea ' box and service at Garth 's. We decided to try this out beforehand, so ordered just one box to sample before ordering for March 14th. It was fresh, absolutely delicious and very good value. I have, consequently, ordered a couple with mini prosecco bottles for Mothers ' Day; ensuring I booked these before writing this great review! The three staff I had contact with Sarah, Amy and Lesley were all delightful, and a great big thank you to them for providing this service and preparing such great food. We are new to the area I need to change my 'ChocoloverBedford name and I look f...

Visited with my wife and her parents on Sat 19th June. Cafe is clean and well decorated. The coffee was great, but my issue is with the shortbread. I noticed on the menu it was £2.95 for biscuits and said to the waitress would that be enough for 3 to share. She served 3 large discs of Shortbread and I paid the bill without checking it first. It was not till later I noticed that I had been charged £7.85 for the biscuits !!!! This is ridiculously overpriced, when you think you can buy a whole tin of shortbread for under a £5. As a cafe you need to make it clearer what you get for £2.95. It ruined my experience

When this was Johnsons Garden Centre we've eaten here and much enjoyed the food. Some of our family live in Spilsby, so it's become a kind of tradition of ours to have breakfast here. Would it be worse now it's part of a big chain ? The easy answer is NO, it's just as good. Excellent breakfast, quality ingredients, well cooked. Friendly, helpful staff, sensible prices. (Excellent plants as well, plus they have kept the local butchers etc in the shop, which is now a kind of Sainsbury Local)

We visited the garden centre and restaurant for the first time. We were greeted by a rather rude young waitress who seemed put out by our arrival at 3.30pm, explained we could have tea and cake only, we were seated, she arrived 5 minutes later to take our order but didn’t give us a menu. When asked for a menu it was like we had put her out. We paid £13 for 2 x scones and 2 x hot drinks which if the experience was good wouldn’t have been a problem but the service left a bitter taste.
