Do not go to this restaurant the service is terrible. We are not tourists to Vichy, we have been going to this restaurant for many years and today was the last time. The wait time was ridiculous. We waited a good 30 mins just to place the to order. Then there was a gap of an hour between a salad starter and the main course. When we complained to the waitress, she replied with it is not my fault and we asked who fault it was. After this, the owner came out to belittle us and tell us we did not arrive on time (we did we were on the dot at 1pm for our reservation time) and how dare we complain and that we should never book a reservation at 1pm as she is busy at that time. It does not make sense as we have booked at 1pm many times before with no issue. What kind of restaurant is this?? Do customers not have the right to complain? or should we sit for 2 hours to get crepes for lunch. There are plenty of other wonderful restaurants in Vichy avoid this one at all costs. Very rude service and an attitude of you are lucky to be here and better shut up if your food comes out late. Too bad they have lost a customer today.
We walked in at 6:30PM and there were many tables available (not fashionable dinner time in France! while all the bars around were full at capacity. We liked the menu immediately as there were the traditional crepes salé/sucré but also a full page menu of good solid french dishes ranging from beef to many fish dishes. I had a lamb dish and my companion had a wonderful crepe. By the time we ordered the room had filled up and people could not be greeted as all three waiting staff were truly running around like a chicken without a head! Understandably so as there had to be over sixty seats all occupied. So imagine three servers for that many people. So service was slow but in the end worth the wait and our dishes were hot and reasonably priced. The only negative to the experience was to see the poor girls run around. I give them credit as it has to be stressful to constantly run on adrenaline. It lacked in grace. Go and order enough wine to last in between courses. Just don 't fret. WISH THEY PACKAGED THE NAPKINS FOR SALE! Great logo.
We stumbled on this restaurant looking for a lighter meal. We had savoury crepes for main course and sweet crepes for desert. Both were huge and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and there was a nice atmosphere Would love to go back if we were in Vichy again
