Journey to Everest is a clash of Indian and Nepalese food, which is always a delight. I got the Beef Rendang and Cheese Naan. The rendang was lovely - it was the right amount of spice that sent me sweating! The cheese naan was good as well, it was nice seeing the cheese actually in the process of melting when it was presented. I got the mango lassi as well - which was an interesting version of your usual lassi - it was significantly more sour than the usual sweetness that you'd expect. I'm not sure if it was the quality of mango used or some other factor but I loved that it wasn't overdosed in sugar.  Overall, the food was good, but I had a few issues with the place - firstly the porti...

I know there are different takes on Saag curries. I prefer the pureed spinach variety - thick and 'army-man' green. This one was mild and creamy (a bit watery) with some green leaves floating around in it. I asked for a bit of extra heat when I ordered but I think they forgot. The beef was full of gristle, which I decided not to digest. I had to ask for serviettes and plastic cutlery for my takeaway. Glad I checked. It would have been very annoying if I got the park bench and had to go back again. Mains are a couple of bucks more than the other Indian joints in the area. But this place is only a short walk from my house, so I will almost certainly go there again to try the other dishes (next...

Went there Wednesday night. Arrived just after 5.30pm and was only 2nd couple in.Friendly Staff who advised us on the food to expect and drinks on offer. Settled for Saffron Chicken Tikka for entree and was pleasantly surprised by the large size and wonderful taste. I had the Mix Seafood Curry and Wife had Kodi Chicken. Both meals were possibly the best we have eaten when dining out, and that is saying something.Could only just finish our food as we did not want to leave any behind and again surprised at the cost which was better than we expected. Many thanks to the wonderful Staff and we will certainly be back for more. Réservez une table maintenant

Journey to Everest is our favourite local restaurant where the service is always good and welcoming and the food is gorgeous. All the dishes are great, starting with the sharing platters and going from there. If you like curries are that cooked from scratch with plenty of 'bits' such as cardamom pods, cloves and cinnamon sticks and no pastes you will love this restaurant

As soon as I walked in the door I was hit with this amazing aroma of spices. We were seated promptly and out dronk orders taken. We settled in the Everest Platter, Mango Chicken, a Beef Rogan Josh, 2 garlic naan and a small rice. From start to finish the food just make my taste buds sing. Not too spicy and we were able to take home our leftovers.

Such honest, good quality food. I've been here multiple times and had their dal palak, palak paneer, chicken tikka, eggplant and lamb (so tender) curry. The garlic naan is amazing too! Service is just as you would expect from a family run business- extremely welcoming. A must try if you're in the mood for Nepalese food down this side of town.
