I don 't do a lot of post but this place is AWESOME! First meal arriving on the island after a 6 hour flight and our plane had to do a Go-around due to strong wind and J 's fish and grill did not disappoint. The lemon garlic butter Mahi was cooked perfectly. We 've had fish and chips at other places and they are all batter and small piece of fish. J 's fish and chips are dense with just enough batter. Just plain 'ONO '. To top it off, the staff was nice, she 's very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Mahalo Nui Loa! .
This restaurant may have an unpretentious exterior, but it offers so much more than you might expect! It was my first time visiting, and I originally planned to order a fish dish, but I ended up trying their loco moco instead. They have four different varieties, and I went with Brahda’s Moco—it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely return for that again, but I'm also excited to explore their other menu options!
I ordered the Moco Loco, a classic Hawaiian dish, for takeout. It was decent! The gravy was quite salty, especially when paired with the hamburger patty. While I enjoyed the meal, it didn't stand out as anything special. The restaurant was fairly empty when I visited for lunch on a Friday, and it has a family-owned, local vibe. Overall, it was satisfactory, but not enough to make me want to return.
This restaurant served the most incredible Mahi Mahi! The prices are reasonable, and the menu is refreshingly straightforward. It definitely surpasses pricier establishments. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only downside was the atmosphere, which felt a bit industrial and reminiscent of a strip mall. But honestly, did I mention how amazing the food is?
