Had a pleasant lunch here, very Spanish food, lots of fresh, tasty fish. We had a great selection of starters, grilled cheese, octopus, Spanish bread, mussels... All very tasty! Main course I had Calamari which was probably the best Calamari I've ever had, very fresh, thick, extremely tasty! Others had the meat, this looked nice but not as good as the fish plates. If you like fish I would recommend this restaurant no doubt, the meat dishes aren't anything special. Desserts as well aren't anything spectacular, I had cheesecake which was just something you would find at a local pub in England. Prices are a little pricey, but this may be cause of the fact we choice a lot of fish dishes over meat. If we were to return to Tollerano we would re-visit but there is a lot of choice out there still to try first.
Stayed in Torrellano on a Sunday night before flight and struggled to find a restaurant open for dinner. Arrived here at 7:55pm and owner was literally just taking his jacket off and opening up but made us more than welcome. At first the choices we made from the menu were unavailable which we were at first disappointed with, as it was chicken and a fish dish but the woman told us what was available and I have to say it was one of the best steak and lamb meals we have tasted in Spain. The garlic and tomato ration was also amazing as as starter and the flan and custard desserts were delicious. Highly recommend and reasonably priced. We were the only people in the restaurant that night.
On Saturday night 20.30h we made reservations because it was very busy with Lunch (all tables full) However in the evening only 2 tables all together having diner. Despite the quietness we enjoyed a excellent dinner. We will be back. It is not very cheap but also not to expensive. They do not speak english or other. But that is charming and exciting we think. An excellent bottle Rioja for €10. Helped us enjoy this dinner.
We booked to stay at Areca Hotel a favourite destination. Due to virus restrictions, restaurant there was not open for lunch. Wandered just a short distance and stumbled across Juanin's. Nothing much to look at, but the service was excellent and so was the food. Varied menu and all reasonably priced. Would definitely return in the future.
