I made a special trip from Ottawa to revisit this restaurant after 10 years. I ordered a Philly steak sub and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was disappointingly dry and lacked flavor – I've had better from TV dinners. The sub was decent but not remarkable, and I couldn't finish it. To make matters worse, after returning home, I experienced digestive discomfort that was quite concerning, especially given the fact that I am pregnant. The food, decor, and service were all amazing at this restaurant! The portions were not only large, but also delicious. Our party of six ordered different dishes and found that they could use a little more seasoning (salt), but the quality of the ingredients made up for it. Our waiter had been there for many years and his knowledge and attitude added to the experience. We stumbled upon this place while browsing through Google maps. The only criticism we have is that the music was a bit too loud for a social environment, making it difficult to have conversations. Despite this, we will definitely be returning for a dessert shake.
The restaurant manager did not allow babies to sit in high chairs outside on the terrace, despite the place being empty on a Wednesday afternoon. He insisted that the child could only have a high chair if the parent went inside, citing lack of space as the reason, even though high chairs could easily be swapped with dining chairs at outdoor tables. After some pressure, he reluctantly allowed a high chair. This rule was deemed as silly and inconvenient for parents. The manager appeared to be power tripping, which was not a good customer service tactic. However, the wait staff and food were great.
Not my first time here but could of been my last ! We get in at 8pm and ask for a table for desert only mister manager told us sorry you gotta order food we aren 't taking people just for dessert so we agreed and took the table anyways spent over 100$ a couple 20 min after we were seated the restaurant emptied out and there were tables everywhere. The waited really saved the day and made sure we were well taken care of would I be back I dunno this type of behavior from a manager is unacceptable! You never turn away people never ! Remember without customers all you have is an empty local !
You will probably have a great time… if you arent a group of 2 after 6:00pm. Apparently empty tables (including 3 tables of 2) and multiple empty tables of 4-6 that can be pulled apart and booths (including booths already sitting couples) cannot accommodate us and we are asked to wait for 10-15 min in the front while justifying this policy. In a time of shortage and inflation, restaurants should thread carefully with customers and their ridiculous policies that apply “after 6:00”.
This place is honestly one of my favorites. The staff is always so friendly and very helpful. I know people usually say this but with them it's true. The insight they give into their food really helps me pick my food. Love the shakes, ADORE the floats, and die to eat their food. Amazing portions, great comfortable atmosphere, and good prices. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
After hearing about the extravagant milkshakes at Jukebox Burger, we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. We tried a variety of poutines, burgers, salads, and milkshakes, and all of them were fantastic. The restaurant had a charming decor, resembling an old diner, which the kids especially enjoyed. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.
