I only had a fantastic meal in Julias (Authentic German Food.) There is plenty left for at least 2 other meals. Her salad is the top! Most German salads were like them, but have since turned to American salads. Your double decker is unqualified with cheese and ham in the middle of 2 carvings with muesroom engraving and cheese sauce at the top. The best! In addition, I had to miss out on their homemade Black Forest cake! Julias even German beer on Hahn, German wine and Jagermeister prechilled. One of my favorite spots in Columbia. Be warned that they are packed at times and don't take credit cards. BTW, they are near Clemson Road I-20. Update 8/20/22 Still fantastic! Much German beer on tap and spirits.
BEST German food around! Have been many times but this was our 1st time to their new location at 120 Sparkleberry Crossing. We went Saturday (Sept 11) with a group of family and friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our server, Ky, is a USC student and an excellent server. She catered to all our wishes and did a great job. The food as always was amazing. They even had some Oktoberfest Spaten beer on draft! The new location is large, very accommodating, and decorated with a wide variety of German beer steins and cuckoo clocks. We loved it and had a fabulous time.
Unbelievable experience! I am so glad that this German restaurant is near Columbia! I have been learning German for years, came to Germany twice and plan to live there soon. I finally visited Julias and was not disappointed! The Schnitzel was amazing and the German potato salad was also so. They gave me and my roommate our dealers for free, which was over generous. It's just cash prepared to come, but definitely come. I'll be back soon.
Excellent and authentic German food. As somebody who lived in Germany for a few years as a kid and had a German Oma, the food and decor was all on point. The staff seems really cool too! Also, I see a lot of reviews saying you could only pay with cash or check...I was about to pay with a credit card as of October 2022 when I checked it out. Next time I'm in the area I'll stop by again! I highly recommend this place!
