I ordered from Kabob House through a delivery app and was very disappointed when I opened the takeout boxes. There wasn’t even any Basmati rice included. The lamb kebab was bland and dry. The garlic chicken looked like it had been pre-cooked, possibly frozen in the shop, and then microwaved before serving. It also came with regular white rice instead of Basmati, which is usually the standard for these dishes. Considering the price, the quality was really below expectations. I’d recommend saving yourself the hassle and driving a few extra miles to Essy’s Kabob on Madison—they offer excellent food and top-notch customer service!
We finally had the chance to visit this restaurant. We ordered stuffed grape leaves, which we found to be less impressive than others we've tried. We also sampled the tyropita and spanakopita, both of which were quite dry. My husband opted for the moussaka, but he found the eggplant to be overly mushy. I chose the lamb souvlaki, which unfortunately was underseasoned and tough; it took me quite a while to chew just one bite of lamb. On the positive side, the service was good, though we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. I suspect that takeout orders might be their main source of business.
Two words: Not good. The gyro tasted off, either the meat or the sauce was spoiled. The rice wasn’t Persian at all; it was just plain rice with soy sauce! The salad resembled those limp, pre-made options you find at the grocery store, and the bread was dry and spotty. Even the single slice of unpeeled cucumber looked sad. I’m unsure about the little container of oil; it tasted like cheap canola oil. I just wasted $40. I’ll put this in the freezer in case they want it back for a redo. Maybe they just had an off day, but because of this experience, I cannot recommend it.
Ordered through the app and it was ready in no time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The souvlaki was delightful, with very tender meat, though I would have preferred the vegetables a bit more cooked. The nutmeg in the béchamel sauce on the moussaka was spot on, the base had a great balance of cinnamon, and the meat and vegetables were tender and full of flavor. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last.

Ordered using the app, was ready very quickly. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. The souvlaki was lovely, the meat very tender, the veggies a tiny bit less cooked than I would prefer. The nutmeg in the bechamel on the moussaka was perfect, the basewas lovely, nice level of cinnamon, the meat, and veggies very tender and flavorful. Was our first visit, will not be the lastfor sure
The beef shish kebab pita was really flavorful, but it lacked the typical veggies like lettuce, tomato, and onions. The house sauce was tasty, but the tzatziki sauce didn't quite hit the mark; it had too much garlic and not enough cucumber and dill. Overall, I would rate it a 4 out of 5, and I will definitely return to try the kebab plate!
The staff were very friendly, but the gyro I ordered was mostly pita with hardly any meat. I felt shortchanged. It's conveniently located near my workplace, and I was really hoping it would be good.
This is Folsom?s local gem of a restaurant!! The Kabobs were amazing and so is the sauce. Would definitely recommend The Kabob House after coming for over 10 years? pics below are from takeout

The Tyropita was quite dry and tasted reminiscent of old oil, which was really disappointing. We also didn't enjoy the Tzatziki sauce, as it was lacking in cucumber and flavor.
My favorite Mediterranean restaurant ever ! I get the marinated chicken plate and it is SOOOO delicious!
