They no longer serve a salad, and they brought all of our dishes at the same time (appetizer and entree). I ordered Lewang and my friend ordered the chicken kabob which was great. The Lewang had no vegetables in it which was disappointing. We ordered the kadu as an appetizer but it was delivered with the entree. The place also seems to have lost its fine dining vibe- it was noisy, busy with people coming in for takeout orders- a little frenetic. Kabul in San Carlos is located in a strip mall off El Camino. Unassuming but the food! We love the Kadu (side entree of pumpkin with yogurt sauce and sautéed hamburger in top). Also the Quabili pulaw which is a rice dish mixed with raisin and lamb and carrots. It’s our go to place when we have out of town guests who want to eat something ethnic. They make excellent mango lassi- not too sweet. Their hot cardamom team is also good.
Delicious halal traditional Afghani food. Our dishes were juicy and tender and we would frequent Kabul when we worked in the area. They accommodate large parties and it was nice to reserve for work events and celebrations as well. They also are accommodating for dietary restrictions.

Restaurant is a bit dated, but the food service are good. We had the lamb kebabs and kadu (pumpkin with yogurt meat sauce). Glad they got rid of the rude, chubby manager lady…replaced with a very nice older lady.
I don’t think the food they serve is worth the price they charge there are many other Afghan restaurants that are much better than this restaurant not recommended at all .
Very good food, it is heaven if you love lamb meat. They also have beef and chicken dishes. Generous portions. Wine and beer reasonable prices.
Take out was nice but bread was just packaged pita not Afghani. Good humus but food was good but nothing to dream about
