Kaffeehaus Schriesheim

Having seen the castle on the hillside above this town as we passed by on the autobahn countless times, I was resolute in my decision to finally stop in this town and find it. But first, breakfast. We were charmed by the old town and right across from a quaint market square fountain we found this cafe. We stumbled with the menu and tried to order in German until the waitress spoke to us in perfect English and offered us English menus. We all rather enjoyed our meals, the decor, and the location enormously. If we pass this way again during breakfast hours we were certainly stop in again.

An all-time favourite for the locals. The breakfasts are legendary, the rest of the menu depends on the chef ... The quality of the food is very dependent upon the mood/setup of the kitchen staff. Some days it's great, and some days really horrible. I recently had a salad that had a full cup of dressing, so within 10 minutes it was limp and inedible ... so I recommend you order your salads with dressing on the side.Otherwise, it is an ideal spot to relax, enjoy the ambience of the old town, and watch passers-by goin about their business around the market square.

Slow service. Crowded and empty platters. Long faces! Salmon, ham and cheese are not refrigerated - not hygenic - health safety issues possible. Missing utensils cause people to reach into bowels. If you got there early you got Croissants. We did not and were told it was not part of the breakfast brunch :-(. Langsam, unfreundlich und zu eng. Lebensmittel nicht gekühlt und stehen offen herum. Leere Platten. Fehlendes Werkzeug. Croissants gehören wohl nur bedingt dazu - wer zu spät kommen hat Pech :-(. Vielleicht muss man um 10:00 ankommen?

Great location in the old town square, sunny yellow umbrellas make things cheery, blankets available if it cools down, great staff (with patience for my limited ability to speak German) and a very laid-back, calm attitude.In our two days in Schriesheim, we went both days for afternoon coffee and one evening for dinner. Dinner time gets busy with locals so come early or book. Réservez une table maintenant

I have been several times to this cafe. The staff is always very friendly. The food is extremely good ans tasty. In summer you can sit outside under trees and enjoy you latte macchiato, cappuccino, espresso, your cold drink or your big salat or meal. You can go there alone, with your family or with friends - you will enjoy your stay.

Just up the road from the hotel. It was really amazing. The food and drinks were wonderful. Schnitzel was very good. Service was fast and friendly. Some interesting twists on traditional german food. Really nice atmosphere and seating outside as well.

too much oil with scavenger and asparagus! the hollandaise is on the whole plate, cheap product, it didn't taste well that I had to leave my plate full. the price is far too high for so low quality! never again!

The cakes are good the location is nice with outdoor seating. The range of coffees is very good and the service is pleasant Réservez une table maintenant

The breakfast they offer is wonderful and different. Really worth trying. The service is slow at times especially outside.

Very nice place. Nice staff. Good food with large portions. Got the Chai tea and the club sandwich. Very good.
