My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary and we are always pleased with the service and the food . We came for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn’t as crowded as when we came for dinner in the past. We had two servers help us throughout our meal. The food was delicious as always and the drinks were great too. Both servers seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. The fish used in the sashimi platter and sushi rolls we got was fresh and buttery. The overall ambiance is romantic and we felt like we got the best service there.
Great to dine with your pooch outside! Just make sure that it is not too hot, grateful that they have outdoor umbrellas for shade! Parking at Embassy Suites is best, but need to have your car valet. Note the entrance to the parking is ON Beachwalk! Food was delicious! Valet parking is $6 w/validation. May seem pricey, but reasonable since it is good for 4 hours!
J'ai fêté mon anniversaire et la malheureuse fermeture de Kaiwa. Le personnel formidable qui a toujours offert un excellent service me manquera. Waikiki est en train de perdre un incontournable de la cuisine japonaise à la fermeture ce mois-ci. Merci pour les merveilleux souvenirs et la bonne nourriture
Celebrated my birthday and the unfortunate soon to be closing of Kaiwa. I will miss the wonderful staff who always gave great service. Waikiki is losing a Japanese cuisine staple when they close this month. Thanks for the wonderful memories and good food.

We have friends who come from the mainland twice a year and they always insist on Kaiwa 's happy hour because of the value and the wonderful service. We never feel rushed to eat quickly during happy hour and they even come and give us a last call notice.

Sushi was not what it had been made out to be. Not impressed. Many other great places to eat in Honolulu
Too bad they are closing....their food was great as always. The service was outstanding as well!!
