kalao. that was a restaurant that was chosen by my friend for a Friday evening meal, and her consistent good taste in restaurants she did not disappoint in my opinion. good huge value serves. we ate in kalao a few weeks on a Saturday night we were one of 3 tables, so it was quiet and service was efficient. the serviettes are enormous! we are great eaters and the escape and the net were too much. we had spanies and the crab special for the entree, followed by Austria and mexiko for mains. overall this is a beautiful place, great worth, but simply not exciting. eating is as well presented pub food not getting me wrong it is very pleasant, but the style and atmosphere of the place against the food do not seem to fit completely. great for a big, cheap feed, but not the place to go for a romantic celebrity dinner.
A little disappointing. Heard good reviews about this place and came away disappointed. The service is exceptional cannot fault it. Antipesto and calamari entree was great! The mains were a massive let down paella was very bland, schnitzel over cooked and dry, the crabs were ok... all dishes seem to have way too much capsicum in them. The desserts were very nice though. I would consider going back again when the menu has changed.
Lovely flavours. We dined on Saturday night before going on to a live show, the menu great when you don't want to be tied down to one genre; the range was exotic, and my dish from Zimbabwe was unusual and pleasantly surprising. Great concept, great flavours, and best of all, the prices would allow us to eat there again with no qualms. Highly recommended.

Even with the urban spoon 50% off i wouldn't come back. The food took a long time to come. It looked amateurish in presentation. And it tasted even worse. Steaks were raw when we wanted medium. The paella was bland and still uncooked. The Malaysian kebabs were tough and chewy. Better off spending your money elsewhere
Hidden Gem!. This place is fantastic! Service is brilliant and efficient... food is cheap with large portions, and very yummy! It was my first time here and I will be back, and I will recommend this to everyone I know! THANKS!

fresh food, inviting staff and excellent meals. I love it! the steak and the chips ordered and it was made to perfection and that dessert was delicious and fresh.
