Kalye Broome Now On 111 Rivington St)

I stopped by Kalye Broome on a Friday evening with a party of two without a reservation and was lucky to get a walk-in table around 6:30 pm. The restaurant is cozy and not very big, so I’d recommend making a reservation if possible. The pork BBQ skewers were fantastic—the BBQ sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness, and the pork was juicy and tender. The portion size felt a bit small for the price, though. The pork sisig was also enjoyable; I liked how the tangy onions complemented the savory pork. It was a bit too salty to eat on its own, so having rice alongside helped tone it down, but we didn’t quite finish it. We finished with the bangus binalot, which was great. Milkfish isn’t easy...
