Ive came here many times, food has always been very good. My last experience wasent great wasent terrible. When our meals arrived mine was not correct and the waitress told me thats what I orderd, I told her I havent eatn that in 15 years so I deff didnt confuse it. She went and put the correct order in, that took another 30 minutes. My date was already finished with her meal by the time mine arrived and my rice was cold that was brought out earlier for the meal. We also orderd sushi as an appetizer that didnt come out till halfway through my dates meal. Food was good as it usually us, but I left unsatisfied with my experience. This place is still holding strong, and they do a great job of being versatile. Whether you are interesting in hosting a birthday celebration or just swinging in with one other person, they do a good job of being kind and courteous. The sushi is great, and most of their food is good. Kampai is right up there with Fushimi and similar places, however their atmosphere is vastly superior to anywhere else in the area, for sure.
A recent visit to Kampai gave me the most pleasurable dining experience of my life. From the miso soup to the sublime cheesecake dessert, the food was fabulous. Our server took the time to answer our many questions about unfamiliar options on Kampai’s extensive menu, and my friend and I were both delighted with our choices. I very highly recommend Kampai!
My husband and I have been coming to Kampai for years. The hibachi is outstanding. The sushi is out of this world. The service is personal, intimate and top tier. This restaurant is a genuine example of a small business that grew because they knew/know what they are doing. This place never misses.
