After reading all the excellent reviews about this restaurant, I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a terrible decision. They should not advertise their food as Malaysian, as it is an insult to real Malaysian cuisine. We ordered three dishes: roti canai, char kway teow, and Singapore noodles. All three dishes were awful. The roti canai was not light and fluffy, crispy on the outside, and undercooked inside. The dipping sauce was not authentic dhal and the curry sauce was terrible, tasting like canned coconut cream with curry powder. Kampung Malay has been a long-standing favorite of ours for years. They offer a wide variety of dishes including pork, beef, chicken, and fish. The flavors are delicious and our family enjoys the diverse selection of Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. My son-in-law particularly enjoys the spicy dishes. Two of our favorites are the Penang beef and rainbow chicken with steamed rice. Ordering over the phone is quick and convenient, with our food ready in just 10 minutes. We highly recommend Kampung Malay for a great dining experience.
My husband and I had a delightful dinner on Friday night at this upscale restaurant. The food was delicious, although not entirely authentic as it leaned towards being too sweet for my particular Chinese Malaysian taste. However, the chef was accommodating in spicing up our dishes upon request, and the staff went out of their way to provide us with extra chillies. The service was top-notch and the prices were quite reasonable.
we are here several times! and will come back: eating is excellent, its service is great and the restaurant is clean and spacious with tables well spaced. it gets loud when busy! we come as a team after a...day of weekend sports and always leave completely satisfied!

kampung was recommended by our friends as they feed regularly here. certainly not disappointed, the rich chicken kewers were divine! also the meals were excellent. we had rainbow and pork retrieval ribs. definitely recommend this restaurant!
The restaurant provides good value, large portions of pretty good quality Malaysian and Chinese dishes, with some Thai style options. Not much ambience in the restaurant's decor, but, the staff are nice.
I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The servings are extremely generous, very tasty and affordable. A BYO $12.00 lunch is incredible value. Well worth a visit.
Not what it used to be, sauces seemed to be watered down and our lemon chicken was so dry and tasteless. I’m not sure if the are trying to save money but it has definitely changed from 12 months ago
