The freshness of the ingredients and the presentation are top notch. Whether you prefer traditional or adventurous rolls, the menu has it all. The Sashimi was very fresh and the rolls were standout dishes. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the Kansai Roll along with the Sashimi dinner combo.The beverage selection is impressive, featuring a good sake and Japanese beers. We got a little tipsy haha....
I ordered two items from restaurant A, and they came with a miso soup (not shown in the picture). The food was ready ahead of schedule, and I was impressed by the excellent presentation—especially for a bento box. The beef teriyaki served on a bed of cabbage was very tender, though I wished it was a bit less salty since it was quite soaked in sauce. The dressing for the salad was provided separately and was very flavorful. The California roll was good, although it had a bit too much mayonnaise for my taste. It also came with pickled ginger and wasabi, along with two nice orange slices and two strips of oshinko. The scoop of rice was a bit small, but I do enjoy my rice. Overall, I would order...
My husband went there for a pick-up for a customer, it was about 9:30 pm dark out. A young latina lady came out the back and asked how can I help you? And he told her he was there for a pick-up, she told him about three more minutes and if he could wait outside . Mine you there are no seats outside, it 's dark but there were empty seats inside...hmmmm. Why? He is a customer too, even if picking up food, we could be potential furture customers but not with service like this. Also If he was there to pick-up his own food for himself would you ask him to wait outside???
I had a fantastic experience with the bento box, which was impressively large and beautifully presented. I shared it with a friend and we both ended up very satisfied. The teriyaki sauce was delightful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the gyoza – they were big and wonderfully crunchy, a nice change from what I've encountered elsewhere. The danmuji (pickled radish) added a great touch to the meal. The pickup process was quick, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Huge and beautiful bento box. I shared it with my friend and we both got super full. The teriyaki sauce was so tasty and my biggest surprise was the gyoza big and crunchy, unlike other places. Danmuji (radish) was a nice touch. Pick up was quick and staff was nice. Highly recommend!
Kansai has become our family's favorite spot for sushi, sashimi, and bentos. They have consistently exceeded our expectations, and the food is incredibly fresh and delightful. Without a doubt, it's one of the best hidden gems in Hayward. I give it a solid 5 stars!

The best rolls we have ever tried. The food is delicious and exceptional, the ingredients are always fresh, and the prices are reasonable. This is my favorite sushi place in the area so far. Highly recommended?

Our first time visiting and definitely going back. Nice Cozy spot perfect for 2 people. Super friendly staff. Fresh food, what more can you ask for.
Their salmon teriyaki portion was a lot and delivered still hot, makes me full too.
