Kao Gaeng - Réserver une table

First time visitor to restaurant. Ordered food at 5:30pm and I was told 20 mins. Showed up 20 minutes later and was told they were swamped with orders so go and come back. Ok. Waited in car and went back in. The lady up front was completely frazzled. Their system of tracking orders and the kitchen is outdated. She brings 3 bags of food out and spend five minutes trying to match the bags with telephone numbers while 3 people are waiting. She disappears into the kitchen. She comes out while customers come and leave without ordering. Meanwhile my order did on the counter getting cold. Finally after an hour and 215 mins after opening the order, she comes out asks for my phone number and says Ah order is ready and hands me a bag sitting on the table and tells me I owe her $xx.xx. I hand her my credit card and she asked me if I need a receipt and she prints it for me and I leave. So what about the food? I ordered that classic Pad Thai so that I can compare the most commonly ordered that food we Americans are familiar with. I asked for spicy, it was meh. Flavor was ok but not the best Pad Thai I have had. That is the reason for my rating. Ok but not great. There are better Thai restaurants out there, but in a pinch this one will work. That 's my rating and I 'm sticking to it!

We ordered take out for dinner, fyi they close early so make sure you get your order in at least an hour before they close. I called once before they closed and they were not willing to make the spring rolls. We had the fresh spring rolls, fish cakes, pad krapow with fried egg and pad thai. I thought the fish cakes were very good. The spring rolls were ok, I prefer when they have chinese sausage in it. I thought the pad krapow was really good, too. The sauce of the pad thai was not my favorite. I thought it was too sweet. I'd pass on that. This place is very close to my new house and I look forward to trying more things from their menu.

Kao Gaeng was decent Thai food in the area with no decent Thai food so was a good standby option but now it's closed and has been taken over by another restaurant Bua Thai. We ordered from there not realizing the restaurant ownership changed and the food was horrible.

Ordered the ginger chicken dish and lacked the ginger taste. Also had the chicken satay and they literally took a chicken breast, cooked it, then sliced it. Save your time and don't eat here. Not recommended at all and will not come back.
