We tried this nice restaurant near Rollplatz after a full morning of walking in Weimar. The place is nice and furniture is classic German. These people really mean it when they say they're the Kartoffel (potato's) House! Tens of dishes made with different cooking techniques, and nearly all prepared with potatoes. I would not have believed it if I hadn't tried it, but they taste delicious and very differently from one another!We had served sort of some large fried potato balls with a gorgeous goulash, and an exquisite oven-cooked dish made of potatoes, spinach and gorgonzola cheese. A very nice evening with friends. We were more often in the potato house and whether it was very full, the operation is the hammer. Always friendly and flashing so that the glasses never remained empty for a long time and there was a fresh spice for nothing. I personally want more potato specialties, for example potato buffer etc. But despite everything, if you want to spend a nice evening, you are right in the potato house. Great praise for the entire workforce.
We were in the potato house at the beginning of last week and are very excited! The services were charming and friendly and the food was fantastic. I ate the best of my life and the Gulasch was to melt. From now on, I am a great fan of the Thuringian cuisine and when I come back to Weimar, I will try through the whole map of the potato house!
We were asked to try it after 30 minutes, despite a busy restaurant, and we were lucky. The lumps with Goulash and red cabbage were a dream. Very well tuned and prepared. so it tasted very recording operation.

It was a very nice visit. Eating was very good. The service, a young woman, was very remarkable and very nice. Is highly recommended and can praise everything. Price is correct.
The food was really good but too big to eat all. Place was nice and really tipic. Next time we will take a deash for two and should be perdect
Somewhat limited menu but quite good food. Nothing extraordinary though. Fair price. Service o.k. but not great.

Delicious German traditional dishes! Huge portions! The only regret: we should have shared one entree.
