Kartoffelhaus Freiberg

The potato house is a small, rustic restaurant in the most historical location of the Silberstadt Freiberg, because in 1168 the first time in Saxony was found in the immediate vicinity of its location, i.e. at the Schüppchenberg, silver. In the winter, Freiberg gets very cold. There is a saying there that in Freiberg, there are two seasons: Winter and Strong Winter!"Nothing is better than when the it is "Strong Winter" to go to Kartoffelhaus and have a wonderfully warm potato dish. And they have all kinds. The fresh potato chips are the best.I have many fond memories of going there to eat. We miss it. (I was actually there in 2011, but that option isn't available)

We went there with a kid, a true potato lover and we all really enjoyed it. The casserole were delicious and they are very well prepared for the kids (menu, crayons..). Good choice for a place to eat in Freiberg!

This restaurant was typical and amazing! If you want to try a real German experience, this is the place to go. The staff was great and the decoration of the restaurant was as typical as possible. I recommend!
