Kashiwa Japanese Cuisine

I have been on a mission to find the best sushi restaurants, and this one is at the top of my list. Located in a small strip mall among other shops, the restaurant may seem unassuming from the outside. However, once inside, it feels like you have been transported to a quaint food shop in Japan. We chose to sit at the bar so we could order directly from the chefs, who were incredibly friendly and offered some great recommendations. We even received a few samples to try, which was a delightful surprise! The oysters were plump and sweet, and the sashimi included a crispy spinach that added a nice crunch. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it worth it.

The food is delicious, and the restaurant has a lovely location with well-decorated interiors. However, I am giving it 2 stars because the prices are quite high. For example, a chicken teriyaki bento box costs $25. In terms of service, dining in for lunch, it received a rating of 4. The average price per person ranges from $20 to $30. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available.

Absolutely delicious and trust me when it comes to sushi that's not easy to say. I honestly have been exploring sushi restaurants for over 20 yrs and this has made a mark in my palate super fresh quality food. Flavorful and the presentation is classy. It by far my favorite on my list. It's a clean and beautiful restaurant I Loved it!!

I had dinner at this restaurant and it cost more than $100 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic and I would give them a 5 out of 5 in each category. I recommend trying their classic sushi dishes. They have plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot. Réservez une table maintenant

This restaurant provides an excellent dining experience with top-notch food quality and exceptional service. The atmosphere is also inviting and perfect for a special dinner. Be sure to try their delicious Fried Spanish Mackerel, Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, Saba, and Ankimo Monk Fish Liver.

We had a party of 8 tonight wanting to try dinner here after being closed and some of us moving away. We were treated very well and the fish was very fresh. The service was really good and we're so glad kashiwa has reopened and serving fresh fish and small plates.

Food as good as it gets with the new owners. Service excellent Cleanliness excellent Quality of ingredients great! Value good! Food presentation stunting! Note great Japanese sushi chefs.

Don't like to do this because more people will go here but they do deserve to be the best sushi in Long Beach by my standards. Sushi sashimi even the hot sake were phenomenal. Réservez une table maintenant

I have visited all Japanese restaurants in Orange County and Los Angeles County. This one is definitely the best you will ever come across. I highly recommend it.

The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the restaurant had a clean and elegant appearance. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!
