This is a Japanese restaurant where chef-owners dine. I know because I had a lovely conversation with one during this visit to cozy yet excellent Katsuno. My self-designed tasting menus typically start with the zensai small plates of the chef's choosing. Usually one is kabocha, the other two vary. Consistently delightful way to open the palate. This time, I ordered a first course of madai from Japan unagi and other white fish (senior moment-please pardon me). Beautifully prepared and presented. I have been to Katsuno many times. It is a small restaurant and I really suggest you make a reservation, especially on the weekend. The food has always been excellent and this time, it was just as good as it always has been. Best compliment I can give is if you live in far away, going to Katsuno is worth the trip
