I had high expectations from other reviews however that was not what I was greeted with. Charged £8.95 for a panini which I was taking away so same price as sitting in the restaurant. What I received was not worth the price tag.. stale crisps , small amount of salad which was definitely not fresh horrid taste couldnt eat it and the panini which was hard and verging on burnt. I choose tuna mayo and there must of been only a teaspoon of mayo in it! Was just Tuna stuck in a sandwich with spring onion and cheese which hadnt even melted I suspect their cooking them too high too quick. We’ve visited a few times for coffee and cake which is always good. Today we had breakfast buns, then cake and coffees and everything was excellent. My only negative comment is that the noise from behind the counter at times was unbearable. All to do with the making of coffees I think. There’s the banging, the sound of a machine whizzing something and the noise of grinding coffee I think. We had to stop our conversation several times as we couldn’t hear each other speaking. We will go back but sit in an area as far from the counter as possible.
It’s been a long time since I was last at Kellockbank and it has expanded considerably since. Ordered coffee and cakes ; coffee was good, cakes were ok but small for the price. Tables are rather crowded together and the much too loud “musak” blaring out of the speakers everywhere is extremely annoying and doesn’t make for a pleasant dining or shopping experience. The shopping area is also extremely crowded with displays much too close together. It seems to be very popular, but for me it’s not somewhere I’d enjoy visiting again.
I took a break from writing my research to grab some lunch. Unfortunately, I had to leave the restaurant because of a rude young lady. It's important to treat everyone with respect. On the bright side, I did see the lovely Darlene who always greets me with a smile. The coffee was excellent. It's a shame about the service, as this place is convenient for buying logs, gin, plants, etc. Thankfully, there are plenty of other options around.

The lady at the checkout was incredibly rude. Quite sad as everybody else was lovely to deal with especially in the garden section. Also, everybody was lovely in the restaurant The check out Lady when your-spending £160 pounds was personally obnoxious and rude Personally, I would not shop at the store again
The restaurant offers a wide variety of scrumptious dishes and beverages. Even though it was quite crowded when we went, the staff were very efficient and we were seated and served promptly. We always love the food here and make sure to stop by whenever we are nearby.
The lunch menu is consistently delicious. We both enjoyed the quiche of the day and shared half portions of sweet potato fries and potato salad. The service was friendly but a bit slow, likely due to the restaurant's popularity.
Popped in for a cuppa and fine piece Decided to have 2 as the tarts were to die for... Well...not to die for...we just loved them so much... Next time we'll try other food but for the moment we were happy.
