During our one-week holiday in Eppenschlag there was much to see in the area and today I will tell you about our visit to Gabreta, the only Keltendorf in the Bavarian Forest, which was opened in 1998. We parked the car in the free car park in the immediate vicinity and climbed approx. 200 meters to the entrance of the Gabreta. The Keltendorf consists of a manageable number of huts. These are structurally in a state by which the Celts time can be traced. Otherwise, the museum village is very economical. You get an audio guide for each group. However, this is so quiet at maximum volume that it is difficult to follow the explanation. The tables at the individual huts give more. In the huts there are presentations of craftsmanship, baked bread etc. Unfortunately, we have not been able to do this because we had nothing to do with our visit. Although I can't say much about the variety of food, as we only had flame cakes, this was self-made, fresh and very tasty. Although there was no still water, I was offered tap water as an alternative, which was not a problem. Positively, I liked that I didn't calculate anything I didn't expect. The service was very nice and accommodating.
Maybe it was time, we were on 31.12. In the early afternoon on site. The audio tour was okay. However, we thought there were also some Celts present or at least Statists. But no such thing. So it was a nice walk through the manageable village. The food in the restaurant was ok.
