Update (June 2023): Oh how far things have fallen and deteriorated. The initial Japanese tapas spirit is difficult to find. Food hangs on the last remaining laurels of the original recipes. They served stale uni (that reeks of ammonia) which could make people sick. The meat was cooked without soul. Oh, and the tonkatsu simply was a pork tempura. The beef curry udon senseless with drapes of pulled beef. This is really becoming a joke. And yes, the prices are still quite high. We won't be returning. My favorite restaurant in RWC. Nice staff who remember you. A rotating menu with restaurant staples offering fresh fish, Japanese style fried food, udon, and more! A great sake menu without an obscene upcharge. Refreshing cocktails to boot! Great food for a great price!

As a Japanese person, I found the chicken Karaage here to be incredibly delicious. The other dishes also tasted similar to Japanese cuisine, and I enjoyed them very much. The service was also good, and I will definitely come back to eat here again.

I’d recommend the wagyu garlic rice, it was delicious! The grilled unagi bowl was ok/average. We went for lunch and the portion was not big but just enough for two of us.

Wagyu garlic rice’s 10/10. This place has good food quality, unique and a little bit pricey but worth it. Will come back again for Wagyu garlic rice!!
