Key City Fish Company

A few years ago, we used to visit this restaurant to buy fresh tuna for canning. The prices were reasonable and the staff was okay. However, the display of meat and fish was unappealing, with some meat appearing brown and the fish fillets looking old and dry. On the other hand, the whole fish and mollusks seemed fresh. We visited the restaurant on two different days, about 3 days apart, and ordered fresh crab. On one occasion, we were mistakenly given lobster instead of crab. When we called to report the mix-up, the staff acknowledged the error and offered for us to exchange the lobster or keep it since we had already paid for it. I am disappointed with the poor quality of crab I received from this restaurant. I will not be purchasing from them again. I made them aware that the crab was not up to par, but it seems like the quantity they sold or lack of complaints from others didn't matter. I was simply sharing my experience with them. It was a waste of $90. Update: all four crabs were mushy and we had to eat them within two days. The customer service and response from Key City were unsatisfactory.

Seemed to inconvenience the guy behind the counter with glasses with our mere presence. He reluctantly asked if we needed help deciding, we told him we needed oysters for 18 people to which we replied, “ok…………..” “so like 3 dozen?” with a smug attitude like we were school children who didn’t know how to count? Dude acts like he’s the captain of a ship and we were beneath his station. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Captain!

Best fish market on the Peninsula. They offer Meat, Seafood Poultry. They custom cut anything to order and fillet any whole fiah purchased. Great shellfish selection to. Also Check out thier Taco Stand and definitely try the Pork Burrito.
