"I come regularly because her food is fresh and delicious! This is a very nice stand. She has a variety of menu items. Prices are very reasonable. Momentarily parking in front of the stand. I jump off Lake Shore Dr and continue back within minutes. Quick bite!"

We never eat hotdogs, but when in Chicago...We were headed to the Field Museum anyway and had already heard about Kim and Carlos via Google Maps. It was nice that it was so close.No line when we got there, but one quickly formed behind us. We ordered two Chicago dogs, with all the fixins!The hotdogs were done just as fast as my card was swiped to pay. $7 for one dog, but I don't have anything in the city to compare it to say whether that's expensive or not. The hotdogs themselves were small, but we really enjoyed the unique flavors with all the toppings. Even my son who really dislikes hotdogs liked it. It was a nice snack to tide us over til dinner. We hadn't eaten all day so it was perfect...
Kim and Carlo's hot stand is a place that serves good food and drinks, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. They have a nice selection of hot beverages and some tasty snack options, but it's pretty much what you'd expect from any other hot stand. The service was friendly enough, and the ambiance is cozy and casual, but overall it's just an ok place to grab a quick bite or drink. Nothing too impressive, but it gets the job done if you're in the area and looking for a quick pick-me-up.
Had lunch here today while walking to the aquarium. Great tasting Chicago dog although at over $7 each that felt too high. Just a basic small hotdog but with good bun and veggies. Someone else posted about getting a Costco dog and adding veggies on your own which I think would be a good recommendation and would cost max $2. Anyway enjoyed eating here and would likely get again if I'm walking through
First time trying a Chicago hotdog. The price seemed a bit much for the size, albeit it was good flavor until I bit into a long hair, then not so much. Honestly, the freshness of the veggies and the flavor is what got it 3 stars would ahve been 5 if not for the hair...
