This family-owned restaurant has been a great source of meals for our family for many years at their original Bethesda location. We recently enjoyed a date night at their new site, and it was a fantastic experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were exceptional—worthy of six stars instead of just five. We were truly impressed by how well they adapted to the forced relocation due to the development at their old location. They also offer fantastic party platters. A few days later, we returned on a Sunday when the owner was off, but the food, service, and ambiance remained outstanding.
I recently celebrated a birthday dinner at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The service was exceptional—extremely courteous staff and prompt food delivery. The chef was generous and offered us a complimentary roll with our meal, which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the place tends to fill up fast! Great restaurant with a friendly atmosphere! They open at noon on Saturdays. I arrived a bit early and was seated right away. I noticed three dedicated chefs skillfully preparing sushi behind the counter. The location is easy to find—if you can locate Harris Teeter, Yirasai is right next door. The food was delicious, and they had Christmas music playing in the background, featuring Nat King Cole and Michael Bublé. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!
I was so sad when this place closed down at westbard. Thank goodness they reopened at the park Potomac location! You will always get fresh cuts of sushi along with a welcoming atmosphere. The quality of food is excellent, the staff are so kind and humble, and they are very thoughtful with packaging food to go. The new location is much more spacious than the old one and I'm excited to see how well they do in this area!

Great to have them here in the neighborhood! Haven?t had a sushi place so close so we?re very glad their here and tried them today food was very good, we especially loved the appetizers. We came at 3pm so there wasn?t anyone here, because of that we didn?t get a great read on the atmosphere, but the service was great and everything we tried was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Sushi is good, fish tastes fresh. Friendly owners. Service is very good. Prices are reasonable. The volcano roll was a little disappointing. It's a good size. The nori was softened by the rice resulting in a chewy bite. Rice in general could use a little less moisture for an al dente texture. Rice flavor is good balance of acid, salt, and sweetness.
The price was just right and the quality was fresh. I am so glad they moved to their new location because it is so combiner to get to and plenty of parking nearby. I would 100% order again. The service was also fast. I did order take out and plated it when I got home, but I am sure the food looks even better when you get it there.
Came on opening night of the new location!! High quality sushi with nice vegetarian options too!! Friendly staff, and food came out quickly despite the evening rush. Casual but still nicely done ambiance. There?s a sushi counter too so you can watch the action!

I am always very pleased when I eat here. The owner's skills, Kim, are exceptional, thanks to her many years of experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The sushi is of excellent quality, and the staff is very nice and polite.
