Average Sydney Yum Cha, but I don't think deserving of the negative reviews here based on this visit. It is hard though to give a rating, especially of a yum cha restaurant, based on one or two visits.
Consistency is key.
Visited peak hour lunchtime on a weekday. About half of the seating was filled.
I have not been to this restaurant since they changed hands last year.
Service is much better if you can speak Mandarin or Cantonese with the dim sum trolley ladies or waitstaff.
None of the dumplings (prawn, spinach) fell apart today. All average but pleasant.
Steamed buns were commendable, both the BBQ pork, and the runny custard.

the worst Yamcha service in sydney. all that is important to them is to get as many people as possible into the restaurant. there are almost no trolleys. only the desserts. about 5 cars are sitting right in front of the kitchen and waiter come and take what they need, how people order. isn't the whole point of yumcha that the car comes to you? we waited 20 minutes and no car came by. we had to go on the trolley and ask for food. may they just go to a court. the personal moves around the car and never pushes them far from the kitchen. we ordered two teller fried whitebait, two dizzy dishes and one trip. that was not the first...read more

This is must be the busiest yum cha restaurant in the north shore. The queue for a table on the Sunday is up to 1 hour long. The yum cha dishes were limited because of too many customers so it's the same dishes trolley after trolley. We asked for a typical yum cha dish and it took 45 minutes to arrive. The steamed dim sims are not hot and prawn dumplings were rubbery. It was a huge hassle to have yum cha here.

there weren't many trolleys around us and we need to ask one of the workers for the food we wanted. Unfortunately, the employee was impatient and just went away and said: no. most food quality did not make it on my expectations. the crepe of mango pancakes tasted raw, and the chicken feet could taste better if it was boiled too soft and juicy. probably no longer go there, but it is worth for people who love yumcha.
