King Ludwig's Castle

We visited King Ludwig's castle on the Wednesday of our trip. We had pre booked but when we got there it wasn't busy. We were seated quickly but then didn't get our drinks for about 10 mins!! We ordered the 2 course meal and the stateroom were good, I had gazpacho soup which was really tasty and my partner and son had the mackerel which they both enjoyed. We all ordered steak for our main and this is where the issue arrived, it took a while for our mains to arrive and when the waitress served our steaks she told my partner his was medium when we had ordered rare, when we questioned this she back tracked and said it was rare!!! Obviously we requested the order be redone but this took ages and when the steak came out it was cold and looked like the original steak!! We immediately requested a manager and told him about the cold steak, he did get the steak redone and then came back so we could explain the whole story. When the 3rd steak arrived it was a. Great steak, my sons steak was a bit chewy but otherwise they were ok. The manager did discount our bill but I would have rather paid full price and not had any issues!!! I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant. While the service was woeful the food was good.

Remembering the German Restaurant in Disneys Epcot Centre in Floirda my father wanted to have dinner at the King Ludwig´s Castle. We were impressed by the interior which looked much better than the mock Castle facade outside. Having a Close look at the murals inside I was happy to find some proper Richard Wagner Motives - hence not purely medieval kitsch but a wee bit of culture in the Commercial Overkill that is Disneyland.The Service was quick and friendly (small disappointment that not German as in the Epcot which was an impressive attempt towards authenticity). I opted for the pretzel style burger (well the bun of Course) which really made a pleasant difference to the usual bun you get. Apparently I stressed too much that I wanted a large beer and ended up with a true Bavarian ´Mass´(one litre) which was good fun and delicious.We enjoyed our dinner at King Ludwig´s and would consider it again at another stay.

J'étais venu il y a 3 ans, et j'en avais gardé un très bon souvenir. Mais ça n'a été qu'un souvenir ...Restaurant très joli, dans le village Disney, avec un budget pas trop élevé. Commande très vite prise mais par une serveuse qui n'était pas des plus agréables. Choucroute pour 2 ce soir là. Catastrophe ... choux sans goût et baignant dans l'eau. Du coup, le choux a été laissé. 40€ pour 2 en mangeant que la viande. Serveuse prévenue mais pas de geste en retour ni même une ristourne. Un profiterole à la glace vanille légère, chantilly sans trop de goût et du chocolat en bouteille réchauffé. En allant aux toilettes, propres ceci dit, vision des cuisines avec un grand drap étalé au sol... c'est classe... et poubelle non fermée... superbe hygiène...Bref, ceux qui n'ont pas trop de sous et pas trop de palais, seront peut-être enchantés...

Nous avons mangé une flammekueche au saumon poireau qui était mini pour un maxi prix, un hamburger frite bon, 2 onglets de bœuf un peu dur avec frites et les desserts 4 glaces sans chantilly car machine en panne mais pas de remise sur l'addition ...

Tres bonne bière Service impeccable surtout SAM qui gère son bar à la perfection.Un arrete sympa au disney village
