During our staycation at a nearby hotel, we decided to dine at this restaurant for the first time in over a year, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was all freshly cooked and piping hot. The staff and owner were very welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes such as Cheesy garlic mushrooms, Steak and ale pie with chips, Curried chicken with rice and chips, Kids chicken nuggets with chips, Kids lasagna with chips, and Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. The ice cream was exceptionally creamy and delicious. Delicious home made food. I ordered the steak and ale pie and the chips were delicious as was the pie. My husband had fish and chips and it was the biggest fish he’d ever had. The owner told us he got the fish fresh from Grimsby a few times a week. Friendly attentive staff and I loved how it was ran by a friendly family who cared about the business. Overall lovely pub food- well worth a visit.

Had a meal with friens. So decided to try somewhere different. We all had different meals. However yhe meal seemed to take forever. So slow. Waited an hour for our mains and waiting staff were not attentive. Bloke who seemed to be more intrrested in regulars. Not good value

This was my first visit and I really can’t rate my evening high enough. The food was just fabulous and the ice cream was to die for! That combined with excellent customer service and some very good company made the perfect evening. Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent pub. Family run, with home made food and great service. We stayed at Forest Pines, and this was a really good value place to eat. Homemade ice cream superb!
