If I could give Kings Corner 0 stars on here, I would. My friend and I entered the bar and ordered our drinks, fine. The bartender asked for our IDs and he accepted them, fine. Then, moments later the same bartender came up to us and denied giving us our drinks because our IDs looked “funky” to him. Mind you, we are both of age (22), and we have been going here since we were 21. Margaret is the manager. And for whatever reason, she has grown this weird vendetta against my friends and I. One recent night, we were sitting in Kings Corner outdoor seating in their back, and we all had already ordered several rounds of drinks. My friend had a completely unopened four-pack of Human Robot beer, min...
King’s Corner is always a great time, but tonight was exceptional!!! The food was amazing and the portions were enormous almost everyone at our table had a to go box. The sweetest staff and owners, once they found out it was my husband’s birthday, went above and beyond with dessert complete with a song dance that had the whole place celebrating! Obviously we’re going back sooner than later as this establishment is always a staple in our neighborhood rotation; such a pleasure and always a treat. The bar is nice and clean, but the bartender was absolutely awful. I think her name was Margaret ? She ignored me for a long time when I came in and barely looked at me when tossing the menu on the bar. She made she the white customers were tended to and the drunkard spending all his money. I did order a drink, which was good but tasted like a sweet strawberry lemonade. I had fries which were good and the shrimp batter wasn't good. Based off the service, I shall never return. Poor customer service ruins everything for me. Womp, womp.
This was a place I could go where I thought I could get great food and drinks. Well, that's no longer the case. The menu for HAPPY HOUR is not fit for human consumption. We ate some of it in attempts of finding something good...that didn't happen. Therefore, the food was no longer consumed. Even after complaining to the waitress, no one (manager)came to the table to address the issues. I visited this establishment several times. Yesterday, was my last visit ? Today was my first time dining at Kings Corner. I never knew it was there. The place is easy to find. Parking is annoying, of course. It's Jenkintown. The food and cocktails are delicious. My only complaint is the choice of a separate check not being doable for a group. Figuring out a check, who ate what and who owes what at the table is tacky. Other than that I enjoyed myself. I plan to return real soon.
I recently moved to Jenkintown and visited this restaurant for the first time. I took an old friend there to celebrate his birthday, as he enjoys karaoke. Even though he’s an older gentleman, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was a bit on the pricey side, but overall, we had a fantastic time.
