First time eating at Kingleys and I really had a mixed night. For starters we has the Rock Oysters and for mains I had the 650 Rib Eye and my date the Beef Wellington. The food was really good, in fact cooked to perfection. In particular the beef wellington was really tasty.
The service on the other hand was very mediocre especially for an upmarket steakhouse. We walked in and we were never greeted by anyone. I had to request that i had a booking. We then got shown our tables and some menus were put down. The waitress never asked us if we would like any help to choose between the different steaks or wine. We were never asked if we would like more wine or water or anything. We were still eat...

Initially we thought it was a great place for couples, functions, groups and families. How wrong were we! My cousin and his wife were told by management to keep their innocent child quiet due to a nearby couple complaining. The manager stated they were paying customers, wanting a nice night out and the couple wanted the manager to tell my cousin and his wife their child was being disruptive. She wasn't crying or carrying on, instead she was enjoying herself and just being a child. Just like the numerous group of shouting adults that were in there. Why discriminate?!

We were looking for a little bit more fancier restaurant to end our stay downunder and ended up here. So glad we did - the food is really well prepared and tasty. Special thanks for the kids menu which was beyond the normal "chicken and fries". Also the side dishes were worth the somewhat higher prices. We really enjoyed the whole fare. If something could be improved I would have to say that I expected a somewhat better bottle of wine, given the fact that I gave free hands to the waiter to select the wine for us. Nevertheless, five out of five!
A Friday dinner with a friend, we had been to a bar for a beer and onto Kingsleys. The lady at the reception was excellent, she knows her stuff. The menu was extensive and the wine menu complimented every possible dish. The steak was excellent, I had my steak with no sauce or condiment, I wanted to taste an excellent steak. I got it.The wait staff were almost over zealous, but that is a good thing, we wanted for nothing. We had dessert, but shouldn't have, as were already full.
Came here with few friends they ordered ribs, barramundy and I ordered scallops and salads. Friends mentioned steak was good quality but slightly over cooked. Bread was nothing special neither was salads. My scallop was ok not amazing. My sister had barramundy dish which she enjoyed. Service was ok too.

En plein centre, ce restaurant propose de bonnes viandes bien tendres et très bien cuites. Le service est un peu long. Nous avons attendu 45 minutes avant d'être servi. Un peu cher comme la plupart des restaurants de Sydney . Comptez environ 110 dollars à deux pour un plat et un dessert pour deux sans vin et sans entrées .

Oysters were nice and steak is well cooked. We love the sweet Shiraz wine that the waiter recommends,you will love it if you're the big fans of sweet wine .
High quality service and delicious food! Steak is perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. But I would say the mash potato can have more cream in it.
