My dining partner and I came to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, with only two other customers present, and only two more customers came in before we left. Despite the lack of customers, the service was disappointingly slow. My meal arrived a good 10 minutes before my companion's meal (gyu don) arrived, which was disappointing. The lunch menu has changed significantly since before the pandemic, now featuring mostly pressed sushi, curries, and donburi style dishes, all at a higher price point. While my main dish tasted good, the salad was overly dressed and the soup was excessively salty. It is unclear if the restaurant still offers a lo...

For a celebratory get-together, we met at Kinka Izakaya and had a good time at lunch on Sun. Brie cheese was tasty deep-fried, and the twist on sizzling Korean rice-bowl was savoury (but not enough vegetables). The ramen noodle was okay. I think the mackerel and rice dishes were better--albeit in small portions. We ordered 3 don bowls, 2 ramen, 2 beers and 2 Unagi bibimbap with a few starters; the bill was $125. Parking is a bit confusing (below Whole Foods--not on Anndale), but the patio is alright. To get fresh handmade noodles, I prefer MeNami's patio one stop North at 5469 Yonge. Kinka Izakaya is similar to other izakayas we've been to, but the washrooms are cleaner...that's a plus!
My experience at KINKA IZAKAYA NORTH YORK was fantastic. I had the pleasure of enjoying their sushi, salad, and beef udon. Each dish showcased the exquisite artistry of Japanese cuisine. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, the salad was crisp and delightful, and the beef udon was both hearty and rich in taste. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance enhanced the dining experience. Overall, I was truly impressed with my dining experience and highly recommend it to fellow enthusiasts of Japanese cuisine.
I went to this restaurant with friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent in terms of quality but a little expensive. The service was friendly, but we had to reorder some dishes because they forgot our order. I recommend avoiding the 7 Samurai drinks as they are weak on alcohol. The atmosphere was nice and we had a good time. I would return for the food. Réservez une table maintenant
I'm never disappointed in the food; however, the service is the SLOWEST EVER! Although we weren't in a rush on a Wednesday evening, it was a full house. They were definitely understaffed. They welcome everyone with a pleasant greeting and bid you farewell with lively pleasantries as well.
My family and I visited this restaurant today to celebrate my son's birthday. The food was fantastic, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Nice place. It's delicious, a non-standard approach with a good vacation! The staff welcomes the entrance and when you leave this restaurant! I'll make a go! Good job! Tasty!
I went there multiple times and the food was great every time. The staff is friendly and the service is very quick. I would recommend to try the weekly specials. Réservez une table maintenant
Really enjoyed the sashimi salad and the assorted sushi and the yellowfin tuna was amazing. The karage chicken was just ok.
