OH WOW. This funky little cafe is definitely worth the search. Although we had seen the sign from the road, as we were driving to the Salt Spring Cheese Farm, we later met a local who told us we have not seen Saltspring until we have visited Kizmit. We decided to return to the area the next day. I felt like I was back in the 60's and I loved it. There were so many quirky aspects to the place, which only added to the charm. There is a little shop attached to the cafe as well, with some re-sale items. The Nicaraguan free trade coffee is delicious, with baking to match. Tables and chairs are scattered on different levels in the garden so that it does not feel crowded. I could have sat outside a...

Stumbled upon this place and it seemed very cute and quaint. We ordered coffee and cake which was good, however the customer service was beyond questionable. At first, I let a worker (who I presume is the owner) know that there was no cream left and she acted as if I was inconveniencing her to refill it for me. Then, after about 15 minutes of enjoying our coffee, we had to run so I went inside to ask for two cups to go. The same lady huffed at me, complained about how it costs her $0.47 per cup, and then awkwardly paused before demanding that I pay her $0.50 per cup. I then explained that I left all my change in her tip jar. She then said I could take the cups for free after making me feel l...

Food and people are amazing and definitely worth the visit. The downside is the location is quite far away and on a really nasty corner. The toilet is outrageous, it's an open outhouse with an absolutely horrendous odor coming it. I am all for protecting the environment and all but his toilet system is taking that too far. I feel it's up to a restaurant to provide adequate facilities and this doesn't cut it in my option. I wouldn't go back for that reason alone. Xx

This was a random stop for us as we spotted the sign while driving by. Adorable place with a ton of charm and the coffee was very good. However the staff behaved like we were were interrupting their conversation. Barely acknowledged us. Changed the whole vibe of the place unfortunately. We'd go back though; perhaps it was just an off day. Réservez une table maintenant

We stopped for an afternoon snack there recently and had a delicious slice of cake and some cold drinks. But everything was quite pricey. If the service had been pleasant, we might have had a better feeling for the place but it bordered on arrogant and rude. It won't be on our family's 'island tour' for visitors.

Love going for coffee after a walk at Ruckle Park. The drinks and baking offered are top quality but very pricey. The owner has created a most unique venue from found objects/art that make it very worth the visit because you won't see anything like this anywhere else, it is completely unique.

We stopped here twice in two days and enjoyed it both times. Coffee was great, cake was delicious and service was fine (don't understand these other reviews, can only comment on ours). Love these hand made places deep in the woods. Really, the ultimate Salt Spring experience.

We were out on a long (hilly) bike ride in need of a break and some refreshments. We stumbled upon this inviting Elvish establishment, in what seemed, the middle of nowhere. The snacks and iced coffee were great, and the atmosphere was a joy!Do not drive by. Réservez une table maintenant

This is just one of those magic places to find on the way to Ruckle park. Really special. Words can not fully describe, just go there and be happy and enchanted. Trust me on this one.
