Kleine Kootze - Réserver une table

5 years ago we had discovered this locally and were very impressed by the authentic, regional cuisine and the friendliness of the cook/owner. This time we wanted to feed back to the 14th documentary. but the greeting of the inn was rather negative than inviting. of hospitality no trace. we had no impression of being welcome. eating was good - bourgeois and tasted. we decided to feed a second time there, despite the incompatibility of the host. when we wanted to reserve a table in the early evening, the reservation was rejected with the argument that one was booked. on the terrace were actually all tables reserved, but in the interior everything was free. we then asked for reservation in the interior, here too the reservation was rejected, with the argument that the places are reserved for the guests in the outside area if it was raining. on this day and evening was the most beautiful sunshine and also the prediction did not report rain. the wet got rough when we thought that there were still places left. he answered, if he said all the places were reserved, then we would have nothing to look for here. it's us silly for the very nice cook. but good eating also includes a good service and that was more than unfriendly, said to be relieved.

... and whoever called him unfriendly here did not understand North Hessian humor and hospitable. we live in the Schwalm-Eder-Krei, but until yesterday were never before in the "small babe". because we could not get a free table in our actual two guesthouses at short notice, we have come to the original restaurant of the family ulrich. an hour before calling and asking for a table for 4 people, close answer that this is not a problem and already we were there. kind greeting - he could remember my call;-) - and we sat in the dining room in the upper floor. the very nice service also brought flott the menu and regional beer (hessian lion beer weizen and pils and natural bees by guard). in the choice of food, the service advised us and found this one or other personal word. eating - we had four different dishes - came quickly, was delicious and rich. I find the very good cut crimped butter on my steak (which was perfectly pink fried!). a well-filled glass crimped snaps for each for 1.80€ (!) and a moderate bill (carving for under 9€, steaks for significantly under 20€ incl. supplements - then you can't mug). we also realized that he was going to

my hessian work colleague insisted on coming here in an unbelievable way twice. There was nothing twice. at the first time we were informed that if you had not reserved, you should also leave immediately and please book as it belongs. at the second time, we welcomed ourselves with the following words (and with that I mean, that would be his only words): "the kitchen is too, we clean up". it was half nine. It's a pity that you can't communicate the tonnage. short version, this man is neither Northern Hessian original, nor authentic, but simply inconceivable unfriendly.

we ate great and were happy with everything. what we always like is to taste typical local or regional dishes and we were absolutely right here. you must try the wockwork! and the homemade sülze was also very delicious. up!

all in all a good local with tasteful decor. in the summer with a restaurant. is located in a play street, locally in an old department storehouse over 2 etagens. for wheelchair users less suitable, as toilets in cellar.
