I know this restaurant since the time i lived in Mannheim. Then it was vibrant and lively place with good food, good value, and excellent service. I came again after nearly 3 years to be completely dissapointed. When we arrived the table we haev reserved...was given to someone else. We had to wait nearly 20 min until a table become available and another 10 min for someone to take our order. After nearly an hour from the time we arrived we got out food. No appologies, and no effort whatsoever to compensate for the delay and the poor treatment. The food is okay but pricey overal not worth it. This was my second visit to Kleinem Rosengarten' in as many years. Dinner ten months ago had us have to make difficult choices because the menu offers a variety of fantastic dishes. The food was very well prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. This year we returned...for lunch and enjoyed excellent food again, tasty veal and great pizza. The service was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere both inside and out is very inviting, very Latin outfit inside. Would happily return on my next visit to Mannheim.
visited with colleagues to dinner. has not experienced any of the service problems mentioned by others. only had main courses, but in general these were very well received and the portions were generous. I had the iberico pork with plant sauce and wrinkles. meat was very good. quality, quite large and perfectly cooked. the balance of the aromen with the source and the lead was exactly right. the cost wasn't that high for so good eating. It was recommended to us a a place for great service and great pizza. Great pizza YES, great service NO. We had a table booked but had to wait 15min till it was actually available. Instead of offering us a drink or table...to sit while waiting, we were just standing in the entrance area, very weird. The staff was more interested in decorating tables than welcoming us as guests.
when I prefer the Italian cuisine to the German, I visited this restaurant that I had never picked up in the past. it is a fairly large building, including a hotel. in the interior they have the cellar beautifully renovated. the meal and the wine card are satisfied. I guess they buy some wee together with milano a bit furhter
